Thank you for coming down to our small school and giving the children a fun and collaborative art experience.  They are thrilled with what they have achieved and produced and are looking forward to seeing them displayed in the hall. We are going to display them in the church for Easter so all the parents can see them and then hang them in the school hall after that

Just an e-mail to say THANK YOU so much for your hard work, patience (lots of it this time around!) and talent yet again on another fantastic project for us. We are all really happy the feedback already has been great.

Fiona Crean - Headteacher - Belmont Infant School - Tottenham - December ‘19

Tim worked in our school for three days.  Her worked with very child  from Nursery to Year 2 and the final outcome was some beautiful sculptures of planets, an alien and stars.  We were really impressed with how well he introduced the art with very young children – at the right level so they knew what to do and were fully engaged for an extended period.  He has thought carefully about the small steps children need to know in order to be successful in their work. The children loved being part of the workshops and were so pleased to see the work mounted on the wall  the day they were finished.  We would highly recommend Tim.

Francesca Bimson -Head of Art - Oxford Grove Primary - Bolton June 2019

Last Friday, Year 5s explored screen-printing using an aboriginal theme to create a collaborative textile piece with the visiting artist Tim Davies. The children explored aboriginal dreamtimes, pattern design, symmetry, drawing & cutting skills and screen-printing. Tim provided a superb workshop that was engaging and a lot of fun. It was wonderful to see the children’s faces as their screen-print appeared. Here is what they thought,

-          ‘My favourite bit was using the squeegee!’ Rory

-          ‘I loved experimenting with cutting out shapes and laying them down to create a pattern! Evie

-          ‘I thought it was really good because we got to learn a new skill!’ Eleanor

Michelle Bareham - Head of Art - Berkhampstead School, Cheltenham - May '18

The Year 6 had a great time creating their unique outdoor art piece with Tim Davies. I  think that it is really special for them to leave an art legacy at Berkhampstead, something they can come back to see when they visit in years to come.

Brenda Meek - Headteacher - Chalfont St Peters primary School - Bucks - October '17

Thanks to Lee for three fantastic days of workshops, making brilliant models for our Christmas production. She really engaged the children with her quiet measured manner and they were all fascinated to see the shapes develop over time. She was so positive and professional throughout as well as being highly adaptable to our needs and timings. The younger children would love to have been involved too so I'm sure we will be able to book you or one of your colleagues on future occasions!

Claire Baldock - Acting Head - Woodcote Primary - Coulsdon - July '17

We had 8 days of workshops over four days which involved all our children. There was a great buzz as the children collaborated and saw the sculptures develop. It was so lovely to see their faces throughout the developments and then the pride of the children when they were all finished, dragging their parents in to come and look! Can't wait to organise further workshops!

Helen Scarlett -Head of Art - Whitmore Primary School -Basildon - April '17

Tim worked with all the children in our school over a four day residency to create a stunning artwork to be displayed in a newly built area of our school. The children loved the process of making the art and everybody was thrilled with the finished result!

The work the children produced is INCREDIBLE, I am so, so impressed! HUGE thanks to you and especially Haidee, all the staff said how professional and fabulous she was and how much the children enjoyed her company.

I am ecstatic the children gained so much from it and am already looking at my budget to get you back next year for some more willow work.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Haidee and you for the workshops and 5 fantastic head sculptures that were made last week. The children really benefited from working on a large scale and the step by step project allowed them to see results instantly.  We had a great week, the children worked really hard and the artwork is very impressive. The animal heads have great character and we really look forward to bringing them even more to life in a dance!

I would strongly recommend Tim Davies Design for any art project being carried out in school. An employee of Tim's (Haidee) worked with our children for four days to create four perspex screens to be displayed at the front of our school. Tim Davies was extremely helpful and informative about what he would advise and be able to provide for our project and I was extremely happy with the service that we were provided with. The children really enjoyed the project and were all able to contribute and join in on the fun! The screens are now displayed at the front of the school to show off the fantastic work that they did.

Sarah Croucher - Head Teacher - Bevington Primary School - Ladbroke Grove March '14

The great thing about Tim's workshops is that they allow the children to explore ideas and be creative at the same time as working towards a high quality finished piece. The workshops are very hands on, ensuring the children can take real ownership of their work and be proud of what is produced.

Janet Rose - Assistant Headteacher - Fosters Primary School - Bexley - February '14

Tim spent two wet ad windy days at Fosters school and helped us create a wonderful willow tunnel and igloo. Tim's patient informative manner meant that even our youngest children were able to get involved and help plant the willows. He expertly delivered a cross curricular approach to this outdoor activity incorporating numerous statements from strands of the EYFS. The structures already look stunning and the children cant wait until Spring when their leaf house will start to grow.

A BIG hank you from the staff and children at Fosters School.

Debbie Selfe- Educational Visits Co-ordinator- Coteford Primary-Middx -Oct '13

What a lovely couple of days we have had and what fabulous sculptures are now grazing by our pond!  Sincere thanks from the staff and pupils of Coteford Junior School.  It was evident to all that the children were thoroughly engaged and really enjoyed themselves; your visit was a fantastic contribution to our Arts Week.

Clare Newson - Art Co-ordinator- Joan of Arc Primary-Islington-May '13

It has been an absolute pleasure to have Tim working at our school with both pupils and teachers. Tim worked with our teaching staff leading an informative, clear and organised training session on screen printing techniques. Then, over two days during our Art Week, Tim helped the children produce five fantastic banners. All the children thoroughly enjoyed their time working with Tim, and he gave clear instructions and supported the children brilliantly. The finished banners have exceeded our expectations and will take pride of place in our entrance area. Thank you Tim.

On behalf of all of the teachers and children in the Year One team at King Solomon Academy; we just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for your workshop yesterday!

The children thoroughly enjoyed your visit and they learnt so many new skills; it was a great day and pitched perfectly for 5 year olds.

We have finished our raindrops and all of your models are going up in the school for a whole school display!

We will definitely recommend you to any of the teachers at the rest of our school if they need an art workshop.

Sally Bradley - Head of Art - St Lukes Primary - Kilburn - October '11

The sculptures look amazing!!
Thank you very much for working with us over the last week, the kids have loved every minute of it!
On Friday afternoon lots of kids who came through the hall to leave saw the sculptures up and were oohing and aahing over them, dragging their parents inside to show them :)
Thanks again,
Sally

June Drake - Arts Co-ordinator Perry Hall Primary School - Bromley - June '10

Thank you for the workshops with Year 3 children last week. The 6 Greek mythical sculptures are amazing. Hopefully we can hang them in the entrance hall, as they would certainly make the space colourful.

Charlotte Konig - Arts Co-ordinator - Marian Vian Primary School-Bromley-June '10

I would really recommend Tim Davies who worked at our primary school during our Arts Week in June 2010. He worked with year 3 and year 5.

Year 5 Tim took small groups of children at a time and made a 3D willow sculpture. Year 3 he worked with small groups and they created 3D willow fish. Tim was very keen to display the children's work and stayed after school in order to do this.

Every child was involved in part of the process throughout the week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tim's enthusiasm inspired the children to 'have a go' and his manner was age appropriate. He listened to the children's ideas, made them feel really valued and it was a pleasure to observe an artist that thoroughly enjoyed working with children at primary school level.

Margaret Griffiths - Carnival co-ordinator Oakington Manor Primary School - Brent - June '10

What an amazing week!!  The children have spent a fantastic time completing their banners, flags and North American headresses for their Carnival in a few weeks time.  Every child and member of staff has spoken about your talents, wonderful resources and patience.  It was great to see how your workshop combined so well with our Art and Design Week. Thank you for a truely inspirational time.

Sally Olivera - Teacher Golpel Oak School - Camden - March '10

Tim ran a three day workshop with our KS1 children. They made willow animal sculptures which will be displayed in our playground. Tim was reliable and professional throughout the workshop, he was calm and patient with the children and worked alongside them to help build the sculptures. The children all had a great time and it was fantastic to watch the sculptures develop over the three days. Thank you!!

Sharon Mee Creative Director Same Sky -Community Arts Group, Brighton '07

Tim has worked with Same Sky many times since 2003 as a freelance artist on celebratory arts projects. These have included The Brighton Children's Parade and The Crawley Mela amongst many others. Tim always has a professional approach, delivering high quality creative arts workshops with energy and enthusiasm.

Paul Dyer - Headteacher St Lawrence Primary School, Hurstpierpoint, Sussex '06

Tim has worked at St Lawrence School at regular intervals in the past five years helping us to create and then maintain a prize-winning willow sculpture. Tim worked with children in planning the sculpture and involved every class in the planting process, discussing techniques and giving pupils experience in handling willow. He has formed excellent relationships with staff and elicited real enthusiasm from the pupils. The sculpture has been designed so that children of all ages can interact directly with it on a daily basis. It continues to thrive and we are delighted that Tim continues to work with us.
